Anniversary Seminar at De Duif
With some 140 clients in attendance, the event opened with congratulatory remarks addressed to us by Amélie Strens, district chair of Amsterdam-Centrum. Leon Hoornweg, an experienced mediator at ReulingSchutte, then demonstrated how parties can effectively use mediation to resolve labor disputes.
Next, Sonja Kroeke, owner of VEM (For Effective Employee Participation), demonstrated how employers can build a productive relationship with employee representatives. Monetta Ulrici, the renowned Amsterdam subdistrict court judge, provided a sharp yet practical insight into what you should and should not do in the courtroom. In short, it was time to get to work, with participants exchanging experiences at their tables throughout the session.
Our professor, Prof. Ruben Houweling, tied together the presentations by the three guest speakers and explored the theme in a captivating way from various perspectives. The afternoon concluded on a festive note with a musical performance by Loïs Lane. It was a successful anniversary event, where content, practical application, and social interaction came together beautifully.
