About

Us

DingemansVanderKind assists and supports both employers and employees and offers mediation services in employment and employee participation disputes. The lawyers in our team deliver top-quality service and support in every aspect of employment law. The entire legal team is characterised by professionalism, dedication and enjoyment of their work. A personal approach is our priority.

The firm was established in 2001 by Charlotte Dingemans and Olav van der Kind.  Since then, we have grown to a team of 16 lawyers, all of whom specialise exclusively in employment law. We have deliberately chosen to maintain this relatively modest size and to allow the firm to grow in a controlled manner. As a consequence, our organisation is clearly structured and approachable. Our lines of communication are short, clear and direct, and our rates competitive.

We closely examine the interests of our clients, and adjust our approach according to the case. Naturally, we have a sound and thorough knowledge of employment law, and master all aspects of this broad practice area, including: employment contract law, individual and collective dismissal law, collective employment law, employment law in relation to reorganisations, employee participation law, the right to strike, employer liability, statutory directors, transfer of undertaking, employee competition, public service law, privacy and social security law.

ADVISORS
& CONFLICT MANAGERS

Our lawyers also continue to develop themselves beyond the realm of the legal profession: as deputy judges, intervision discussion leaders, lecturers, researchers, editors, authors, advisors to management boards and as mediators. In dealing with our cases, this broad scope enables us to expand our view, and take account of a wider range of aspects.

We act on behalf of both employers and employees. This helps to keep us on our toes. Our approach is focused on settling disputes quickly, and in a business-like manner, but without losing sight of what is fair and reasonable. In some cases this means we examine the possibilities for an out-of-court settlement, while in others we recommend bringing the matter before the courts.

DingemansVanderKind can call upon a network of legal firms specialising in other practice areas as well as tax consultants. In addition, Prof. Ruben Houweling, Professor of Employment Law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, serves as legal counsel at our firm.
